Graduating in 2000 with a BA Hons in Fine Art from Cumbria College of Art & Design, Rachel has continued to develop her work. She enjoys the use of line as a means of expression, often exploring machine stitch or ink applied with stiks as tools and medium.

The content and concepts within her work are inspired by time spent outdoors, in the woods, on the Pennine hills and from natural landmarks.

Rachel Johns brings a unique style to her work. Her recent exhibits at Cafe Modo in Todmorden, a new business with a strong interest in developing the arts, generated much discussion.
